Online applications (via https://basb.teletalk.com.bd) are hereby invited from genuine Bangladeshi citizens for direct recruitment to the vacant post of “Secretary” in various District Armed Forces Boards under the Bangladesh Armed Forces Board, Ministry of Defence, subject to fulfilling the following conditions. No application will be accepted except through the online mode.

Terms and Conditions for Application and Examination

The following conditions must be strictly followed for filling out the application form and participating in the examination:

• Age Limit: The maximum age of the candidate must be 53 years as of May 14, 2026.

• Ineligibility: Officers who have been dismissed or compulsorily retired from the Armed Forces are not eligible to apply.

• Selection Process: Officers will be selected through a screening/selection examination from among the eligible candidates by the Recruitment Committee. The date and time of the examination will be announced separately.

• Quotas & Rules: The latest government rules and regulations regarding quotas will be properly followed. For any matter not mentioned above, the rules issued by the Ministry of Public Administration will apply.

• Authority’s Rights: The recruiting authority reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts or cancel the notice altogether. The decision of the authority in all matters relating to recruitment shall be final.

• TA/DA: No daily allowance (DA) or travelling allowance (TA) will be provided for participating in the examination.

• Strike-Off Date: The final date of being struck off strength (SOS) from the Armed Forces is August 15, 2026.

• Application & Fee Submission Starts: 20 May 2026, 10:00 AM.

• Application Submission Deadline: 20 June 2026, 05:00 PM.

  Note: Candidates who receive a User ID within the deadline can pay the application fee via SMS within 72 hours from the time of submission. Do not wait for the final deadline; apply well in advance.

Photo and Signature Specifications

• Photograph: Recent color photograph, dimensions 300 x 300 pixels (Max size: 100KB).

• Signature: Dimensions 300 x 80 pixels (Max size: 60KB).

• Candidates must double-check all information before final submission, as this data will be used for all subsequent processes.

Application Fee & SMS Payment Method

After successfully submitting the application online, candidates will get an Applicant’s Copy featuring a User ID. Download and print it in color. Using a Teletalk pre-paid mobile, send 2 SMS messages to pay the fee within 72 hours:

• General Fee: Application fee Tk. 200/- + Teletalk service charge Tk. 23/- = Total Tk. 223/-.

• Underprivileged Groups Fee (Ethnic minorities, physically challenged): Application fee Tk. 50/- + Teletalk service charge Tk. 6/- = Total Tk. 56/-.

SMS Formats:

1. First SMS: BASB <space> User ID and send to 16222.

   • Example: BASB ABCDEF

   • Reply: Returns a PIN number and mentions the fee amount.

2. Second SMS: BASB <space> YES <space> PIN and send to 16222.

   • Example: BASB YES XXXXXX

   • Reply: Confirmation message containing the User ID and Password.

Admit Card & Communications

• Eligible candidates will be notified of admit card availability via SMS and announcements on https://basb.teletalk.com.bd or https://basb.gov.bd.

• Candidates must print the admit card (preferably in color) and bring it to the exam.

• Keep your provided mobile number active at all times to receive updates.

User ID/PIN Recovery (Teletalk only):

• If User ID is known: BASB <space> Help <space> User <space> User ID to 16222.

• If PIN is known: BASB <space> Help <space> PIN <space> PIN No to 16222.

Required Documents (To be submitted during the exam)

Candidates must produce original copies and submit 1 set of attested photocopies (attested by a 1st Class Gazetted Officer) of the following documents during the examination:

1. Filled-out Online Application Form (Applicant’s Copy) and Admit Card.

2. All educational qualifications and additional special qualification certificates (experience certificates where applicable).

3. Nationality Certificate issued by the Union Parishad Chairman/Municipal Administrator/City Corporation Mayor or Administrator/Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment Board.

4. Attested photocopy of the Release Order/Retirement Order from service.

5. Clearance certificate from the respective Record Office of the three services containing updated info (Date of joining, Date of retirement, Type of retirement).

6. Attested copy of National Identity Card (NID).

7. Attested photocopies of certificates/documents supporting quota claims (if applicable).
